Walter Neiswanger, M.D.
1923 - 2007
We at the Neiswanger Institute for
Bioethics and Health Policy of
the Stritch School of Medicine join the entire Loyola University
Chicago community in mourning the passing of our friend, Walter.
Dr. Neiswanger’s kindness and generosity founded our bioethics
institute. He was especially interested in helping medical students
become leaders for social justice in health care and in life. Walter
will be sorely missed, but his example will continue to be an
inspiration to us and to generations of Loyola physicians to come.
