Academic Policy Manual Part I (1st and 2nd Years)

Preface New provisions of Academic Policy contained in the Academic Policy Manual, Part I were approved by the Medical Council of the Stritch School of Medicine on July 19, 1993. The entire document was approved by Medical Council on October 18, 1993. These provisions apply to all students entering the Stritch School of Medicine as first year students. Part I of the Academic Policy Manual applies only to the first and second years of the four year curriculum. Part II, which applies to the third and fourth years, will be issued to students at the start of the third year. The Stritch School of Medicine reserves the right to review and amend policy governing academics and promotion prior to the beginning of each academic year. Such changes may be binding on all new and currently enrolled students. Policies and procedures of Loyola University Chicago which apply to Stritch students are published in the Student Handbook which is available through the University's Dean of Students Office located on the Medical Center Campus. Also see section titled Related University and School Policies at the end of this document. It is the personal responsibility of each student to acquire an active knowledge of the academic policies and procedures contained in the Academic Policy Manual Part I as well as general policies contained in the Student Handbook.
