Logging on the CALL Network

Each user has a USER ID (usually your first initial and the first six characters of your last name) and a PASSWORD. Passwords must be between 7 and 8 characters in length (letters and/or numbers).

All student-access computers in the CALL run the Windows 2000 operating system. When you sit down at a computer you will see the following on the screen: Press "Ctrl + Alt + Delete". Press these buttons to open the Windows login window. Enter your username/password combination, and check to make sure the domain is set to SSOM. If not, select this domain from the available drop-down list.

If you need to step away from your computer for a moment during use, please lock the workstation to prevent others from accessing the network through your login. To lock the workstation, press "Ctrl + Alt + Delete" and click the "Lock Workstation" button. To unlock the workstation, press "Ctrl + Alt + Delete" again and enter your password.

To change your password, press "Ctrl + Alt + Delete" and click the "Change Password" button. Enter your old password and new password (twice) to complete the task.

See Amy Hoyt in the CALL if you experience any difficulty logging into computers thoughout SSOM.
