Policy on User Priority

The CALL is first and foremost, an educational resource. Therefore, any student requiring use of a computer to run educational software will have priority. If demand for educational use of machines exceeds the number of available computers, refer to the guideline on user priority below.

Computers can be used for other legitimate purposes (e.g., word processing, literature searches, etc.) when demand for educational software use is low. Please use your own personal computer for playing games and running software that does not have obvious educational or other productive attributes.

Refer to the following guidelines to determine user priority. Please show common courtesy during periods of heavy lab use - be effective in your use of the lab!

  1. Medical Students enrolled in MSI through MSIV courses with specific assignments.
  2. Students enrolled in MSI through MSIV courses - self/directed learning.
  3. Students enrolled in MSI, MSII, MSIII and MSIV - general use.
  4. Graduate students enrolled at the medical school.
