Cutaneous Oncology

Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine, Division of Continuing Medical Education designates this educational activity for a maximum of 12 hours in Category 1 credit towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award.  Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Course Objectives:  Upon completion of this activity, participants will::

  1. Be able to discuss the immunobiology of various skin cancers including: melanoma, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma.
  2. To determine cell cycle analysis and apoptosis of individual normal and malignant cells by flow cytometry.
  3. Be able to discuss several novel therapeutic approaches including dendritic cells and vaccine strategies for several different malignancies.
